Appliance Fitting & Additional Services
Homesource 4U are engineers first and retailers second. This is what makes us better than the rest for all appliance fitting and repairs.
We only provide APPLIANCE FITTING, APPLIANCE REPAIR, and APPLIANCE DISPOSAL within our East Midlands catchment area. In the wider UK, we are still happy to provide advice, including locating fitting diagrams and manuals if available.
We have engineers qualified for both electrical and gas fitting/dismantlement, and we are also certificated to handle refrigerator re-gassing using environmentally approved HFCs. We also have a spares department, supplying SPARE PARTS nationally and internationally.
Remember that when multiple services are included in a single visit (e.g. an appliance delivery, with fitting and disposal) total costs are substantially less, so call to book a fitting at the same time you order the appliance!
PLEASE NOTE! The appliance fitting costs below only apply when you are also buying the appliance from us – because the journey costs are already included in the cost of the appliance purchase. If you want us for a fitting, repair or disposal without a purchase involved, there is an additional charge for the call out journey (please telephone for estimates of a service/repair call out on 0115 8372515).
APPLIANCE FITTING
Homesource engineers are fully trained and certificated to do any appliance fitting, including installation of integrated appliances if your units are ready. As specialist engineers, our charges are LESS than all national retailers. All prices are fully inclusive of VAT and tidying up.

Although fridges often require little more than plugging in, they often involve difficult lifting and manoeuvring, hence sometimes a small charge. National retailers often dump them at the door and refuse to help you get them inside! We are happy to unpack and dispose of all packaging free (some national retailers charge £20!). Fridge door reversals are charged £19.99.
DISPOSALS
If you are in the East Midlands catchment and purchasing an item or services from Homesource4u by Home Delivery we can often dispose of the old replaced appliance FREE OF CHARGE. However due to flawed legislation and disposal problems this EXCLUDES REFRIGERATORS. For these we are obliged to pass on a recycling cost: £14.99 for an under-counter sized appliance, and £21.99 for a tall fridge freezer or similar refrigeration appliance. HOWEVER! your local council should collect and dispose of your refrigeration appliances for free. Call them to see if this service is available to you before paying us to do it! It is also free for you (but not for us!) to take your old fridge or freezer to a council approved waste site.

OTHER SERVICES
Homesource 4U prides itself on being second-to-none for installations, repairs and sympathetic customer service.
REPAIRS: Your warranties are usually with the appliance manufacturer not Homesource 4U Ltd (except on refurbished sales which are not listed on our website).
In other circumstances, appliances repaired in a single callout are typically charged £49.99 (inclusive VAT) plus the cost of any spare parts fitted.
Sometimes, a separate call is needed for the initial diagnosis and then a return visit to fit. A typical charge for the diagnosis trip is £19.99 but this is entirely discounted from the cost of the repair visit providing you proceed with the repair – so effectively the charge is still the same.
If economic repair is unfeasible, the diagnosis call can be discounted from any delivery charges for a replacement appliance if you decide to buy from us. Otherwise the initial call-out has to be charged £19.99 (probably the cheapest service in the UK anyway!).
We appreciate that emergency appliance repairs are a hardship for many people. We always avoid tallying up charges and never leave our customers in the lurch. In some circumstances we lend our customers stand-in appliances.
Within our post-code catchment areas we also do Diagnostic and Repair Call-outs, Servicing, PAT Testing, Safety Inspections, Refrigerator re-gassing, Spare Part identification and sourcing, and can offer GRADED and REFURBISHED appliances at substantial savings. We are also happy to Collect and Return Keys from third party locations (this is often FREE but a nominal charge might be levied depending on distance and time).
